Pass Plus is a follow-on set of driving lessons aimed at new drivers. Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years of passing their test because of a lack of driving experience and this is why Pass Plus was created
Who Created Pass-Plus?
Pass Plus was created by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry. Pass Plus aims to build on your newly gained skills and knowledge and teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards and be more confident on the roads. Ultimately it can help you to become a safer driver.
What is Pass Plus?
Pass Plus consists of 6 modules including:
- driving in town
- driving in all weathers
- driving on rural roads
- driving at night
- driving on dual carriageways
- driving on motorways
Taking a Pass Plus course not only improves your driving skills but can also be used to lower your car insurance – in some cases your insurance can be halved!
There is NO test or exam to take. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate which can then be presented to your insurance company for a substantial discount (in some circumstances savings up to £1000) visit the Pass Plus website for a list of participating insurance companies.
